~ Big news! ~
Hello Everyone! As some of you have already learned, I'm going to rent a studio!! I'm so excited about this, as I wil be working on the things I am passionate about once more! I will start doing workshops for photoshop and photography, I will be able to host photoshoots at a stuio that isn't my livingroom and there'ss be a good space for me to edit and vlog in!
The studio will be located in Leiden, close to my home, but also close to Station Leiden Lammenschans, so it'll be easy to get there. There's parkinglots in front of the building and it comes with quite some features I'll happily be using.
I am however not there yet. As you do all know I've been working my ass off fulltime lately. Many a person has tried to tell me it would get better and I would get less tired, but only the contrary is true; With 40 hours a week, one week morning shift and the other eveningshift, panicattacks and feeling nauseaus have become standard practice.
It's not that I can't handle the job, however I cannot handle this job that i'm doing to enable my creative work is now actually keeping me from doing the creative work at all! There have been moments I wanted to give up on my creative art, so that I could just go to work every day, get home to play games, and in the weekend take some time to see friends.
But no, I promised myself to become what I have always dreamed to be, especcially since I'm already doing such a good job, to become a good artist. That may sound really vague, and maybe it is, but I know when I'm on the right path, and starting my studio will help that.
That I was quitting my current job after a while was already decidided. By the time I quit I will have some money saved for when I don't manage to earn enough money for my studio rent. I hope to get enough assignments ofcourse, but you never know If you'll earn enough in the first month or well, first year.
So to have a little more security I am looking for a job close to home or from home that I can do for 2 days in a week for steady Income. I'm looking at Job opening sites ofcourse, but if anyone knows of a job that's close to Leiden, please think of me!
Like I said, the first couple of months in a studio are never certain. When I have that uncertainty covered by a side job theres another thing I need to keep in mind: With opening a new studio comes taking care of studio interior! Interior meaning A photostudio backdrop with stands, a desk to sit at, a chair to go with it, a table to sit my Artclass pupils down on, fairy lights for decorations and things such as that. I will be looking for the desk in the thriftshop, but the studio gear has to be new ofcourse.
To get money for the studio interior I decided I'm going to be working on a kickstarter!
I will be making a breakdownsheet of what I need for my studio, and what I think it's all going to cost to see how much money I need to set the donationgoal to. I currently expect to need about twothousand euros, and I'd be all set, including fairylights♥.
I'll be uploading that on my patreon aswell.
And Lastly I am ofcourse very eager to know what you would want to see as a Kickstarter reward!
Since my studio will be for everything I'm capable of doing, I'm going to throw in donationrewards of all kinds, including for example:
- A photoshoot with me as the photographer
- or as the model
- A modeling coaching session for you and your friend, or just you, pictured included
- Lunch with me,
- Allowing you to shadow me what I do in the studio for a day
- A photoediting session in which we will edit your photos together.

So these are the ones I came up with so far, but I want to know what you would like to do with me, and how much you would donate to help me work on making my dream come true!
I will be posting about this Kickstarter thing everyday from now on, to make people aware of it, and to get feedback from the community just to make sure this kickstarter and studio will be a success!
