Today I found €100 pleaserboots for €40 on flashsale on AttitudeHolland. They were shoes i'd had gifted by my boyfriend, if it weren't that the website he ordered them on turned out to be shady and we ended up asking our money back. But shit, I'm so low on money I was actually over my credit limit, allthe while I'm going to have to pay healthcare insurence money in 4 days AND I wanted that goddarned shoes!! I mean, They were meant for me, because the discount was only on the boots in my size! (I have a eu43, so naturally that is a size hard to come by in girls shoes)

I've been wanting to sell my photoshoots as a product before, but hey, when's a better time to start doing so than when you're forced to do so right? SO I concocted an idea on how to get those shoes ánd start earning with my passion: I created a discount offer, that would be valid for a week; The offer being €50 euro's off aof a portrait shoot worth €150. And if you'd pay today, i'd give you a €75 euro discount, which is half off!

But I could never have expected the immense response to this offer. It's not that 1000's of people responded, but what appened is what really grasped my attention. I shared my picture with a description on facebook, and shared it in a couple of groups that might have people that would be interested in such offers. One of those groups was a cosplay group, with people that are't used to such prices because "they get their shots for free". I had counted on people to not understand how much of a bargain this actually was, though everyone stayed really polite in the way they asked why my price would be a good price and tried to understand what i was even offering in the first place.

What I however had not expected is that there was actually people that would back me up. The first two people that reacted actually didnt understand, then there was someone wishing me luck(genuinely, not sarcastically), Some photographer who suggested i'd start my offers cheaper in a polite way, two other people wishing me luck, two people that asked for my page so they could follow it, and then -
A legit paragraph of a fan/follower of my work explaining how much time and effort it takes to take these photos and why it's worth!!

And then even more people Cheering me on!! And someone I worked with legit recommending me!! And more appearently fans backing me up! And even people trying to help come up with other "products" I could offer like Photoshoots with styling in my designs! There was so much positive energy underneath my post, it was amazing! I got a lot of energy out of that, It was so energising to see people genuinely support my work like that.

Later on the day I got a message on my Photographer facebookpage from someone, that has somehow also found my Patreonpage, telling me he was going to be supporting me on Patreon! My mind just exploded and I'm still so goddarned Excited!!! This guy also found me through the post i shared in this cosplay facebook group, so all in all, It had been so good to share that post there, and I have no regrets whatsoever. I even decided to make an image to celebrate it and welcome him :heart:



Oh and you're probably wondering, did I get to order the shoes before the discount ended? Why yes, there has been multiple shoot orders already, and quite a few people notifying me of their intentions to contact me for shoots when their costumes would be finished^^

I did even more than that today, so all in all this was such a productive day!!
